BODGER
On Saturday 28TH August we said goodbye to the dearest of our friends…. Bodger.
He had shared our lives for 16 years and was the most loyal, loving and gentle of creatures. In all those years he never once so much as growled at anyone or anything.
He was intelligent, warm and full of life. He has left a huge hole in our hearts and we miss him so much.
We thank him for all that he gave us and for his constant and unconditional love.

THE GREAT ESCAPE
Last week saw Ella the Bengal’s attempt at “The Great Escape” whilst her owner was on holiday. Deciding she had had enough of her own garden, she did a covert survellance of the perimeter fence and checked the area for feline informants. Ceasing the moment and with military precision she leapt the enclosure to infinity and beyond! We mounted a full scale man (cat) hunt with leaflets posted and cats protection informed. Whilst searching the area I found a little used back route which led to several neighbouring gardens. After scaling the back gate, much to my son’s amusment and wonder (old people can’t do that!) I found said prisoner enjoying her so called freedom hid under a bush about two feet from her own garden – she wasn’t coming quietly! She had to resort to the indignity of the cat box and the snearing of neighbouring cat Hercules as he sat on the wall as we marched back to the house. Another successful mission completed!
THE END!!!

SAD NEWS
It seems we are having a run of sad events to report. Last week we saw the passing of another two dear friends, Dear little Boo, a gentle little old cat who shared her life with friends Tom and Ollie. She lived to the ripe old age of around eighteen – very sadly missed by all. And HRH Maximillion III or better known as Mr Max, a dear little King Charles Spaniel with a very loving nature, if not a bit choosy with his friends! He was due to emigrate to Canada with his owners George and Lizzie next week, but alas I think Mr Max thought the Rockies were no place for him.
It is very difficult when we lose the pets we care for as we come to know them so well over the years, but we try to remember all the fun we have had with them, all the love they so faithfully give and the wonderful life they have had with their caring families.
